G1000 glass cockpit training

A G-1000 ground school will be held on Saturday, May 12 from 9-1 at Executive Flyers. The course will cost $30 and will cover all of the required ground school checkout requirements for a G-1000 cockpit. If any of you would like to move up to the glass cockpit, please email Ed or call the office to sign up for the course. Glass cockpits are becoming more and more common and knowledge of them will be essential in the future. If you'd like to find out more about them, we have both a book and a CD course by Max Trescott that are both excellent.

Executive Airport open house

Executive Airport will have an open house on Saturday, May 19 from 0900 to 1500 (3 pm). There will be a static display of aircraft on the North and South ramps, food, prizes and fun for everyone. The Civil Air Patrol will have a pancake breakfast in the Aviators Restaurant from 0830-1100 for a donation of $6.00. From 0900-1500 there will be displays in the lobby, Executive Autopilots and Executive Air Repair will be open for visits. The Civil Air Patrol Cadets Honor Guard ceremony will be at 1000. Hope to see you all there for an enjoyable day.

Lost and Found

We have a collection of items left in the aircraft including a hand held transceiver and a digital camera. If you are missing anything that you could have left in a plane, call the office to see if we have it. We'll have the things displayed at the open house, but if you can call before then, you have a better chance of getting your lost item back. (916) 427-1888.

Twin for sale

Our twin engine Piper Seminole, N2882C is for sale. The asking price is $110,000. We would like to keep it on line as a lease back. If you are interested in purchasing the plane, call Sacramento Aviation at (916) 424-1800. If you want some information about leasing the plane to Executive Flyers, call Ed at the office.

Gently, please

After you check the oil quantity, please do not twist the oil dip stick down too tightly. The washer under the dip stick swells when it gets hot, and it is nearly impossible to get the stick out to check the oil without a pliers after that. Just tighten the dip stick down until it hits the washer and then just enough more to hold it in place. Thanks.
