IFR Pilots Skills Stay Sharp
Use Executive Flyers PCATD to enhance your IFR skills! Personal computer-based aviation training devices have come a long way in the last 10 years. They are an excellent training tool, especially when it comes to IFR flying. You can simulate situations and failures that would not be safe to practice in the actual airplane such as vacuum failures in IMC. In addition you can practice flying IFR during the VFR heat-ridden summer months. To top it off, the Executive Flyers PCATD is the best value around at $25 per hour. We have just purchased some additional software for the PCATD that will simulate ATC and allow you to practice without the help of an instructor. Come take a look at our updated training device and enjoy a free Elite PCATD tutorial with Brad Andrews, our Assistant Chief Instructor. Call the office to sign up for the simulator and instructor.
N5101E only $95 per hour!
Aeronautica is celebrating its new affiliation with Executive Flyers by offering you a special rate on N5101E. The summer weather is here and with it many flying opportunities, but have you considered your winter flying? Are you IFR rated? If so, are you current? As you probably know, N5101E is a new Cessna 172SP, fully IFR certified including dual vacuum pumps, a Lycoming IO-360-L2A fuel injected engine and Cessna’s Nav II package including a KMD 550 Color Moving Map slaved to a Bendix King KLN 94 IFR GPS and a KAP 140 Two-axis Autopilot with Altitude Pre-select. This is a dream for those ILS approaches. Aeronautica has created this special offer on N5101E:
During the remaining month of July and all of August 2003, N5101E rental wet rate including all applicable tax will be the unbeatable price of:
$95.00 per Hour!
This is a discount of more than 24% off the standard rental rate. Better yet, we want to offer our customers the opportunity to keep the rental wet rate at this extraordinarily low level. If the usage per month averages 2 hours per day, (A 2 Hr per day average, 30 days per month, starting on July 15, 2003) we will extend the rate through the following month. It’s that simple, if our customers like the rate and show their support, we will keep the airplane on line. This is your opportunity to get that IFR rating with all the latest technology.
Instrument Ground School
A 10 week instrument ground school will start on Wednesday, August 13th. It will be taught Wednesday and Friday evenings in the conference room at Executive Airport from 6:30 to 8:30 by Ed Callaway, who has about 20 years of instrument training experience. This course will prepare you for the instrument written exam. The cost for the course is $150 for members and $200 for non-members, plus the books and supplies. The cost of the ground school for those taking their instrument flight training in N5101E will be $100, and there will be a discount of $5 per hour off the cost of the instructor when training for the instrument rating in N5101E! Call the office to sign up.
Headsets
We have only a small number of extra headsets for use by students. Don’t count on them for use when you rent a plane.
