New Chevron gas cards
There are Chevron gas cards in all the aircraft books now. They may be used at the fuel pumps at Executive Airport if you enter a PIN number. It is the same as the number on the lock on the after hours box. You may use the cards for fuel from the fuel truck at Executive Airport without a PIN. Remember that the fuel costs 30 cents a gallon more when you buy from the truck, so use the pumps whenever possible. Try to reach the airport in time to fuel from the pump before flying. DO use the truck if you are physically unable to use the pumps. The cards may also be used at any airport for buying fuel and oil only. There they will not require a PIN number but may be used as a regular gas card. Please report a lost card to the office as soon as you realize that it is lost. Also make sure that you do not take the card with you after fueling, as we only have one card per plane.
N5101E STILL only $95 per hour!
Aeronautica has extended the $95 per hour rate through September! We did not make the 60 hour per month minimum, but we were close. If we can fly the plane 60 hours per month, the rate will stay at $95. If we fly fewer hours, the rate will have to increase. Remember, there will be a discount of $5 per hour off the cost of the instructor when training for the instrument rating in N5101E. Let’s work on flying it the minimum amount, as it is an excellent instrument trainer and cross country airplane.
Pay your bills electronically!
By the time you read this, we should be able to accept payments for invoices and statements over the internet. We will be using Paypal, which is a service that will let you pay with a credit card or directly from your bank. We will have a Paypal section near the front of the home page. There will be a spot to click on to go the Paypal home page. Note the “https” – that indicates a secure site. It is easy to sign up for the service. Once you have signed up, and when our account is verified by Paypal, you can stop writing checks and pay us directly through the Internet. You should go to the "Send Money" section and the "pay anyone" subsection. Enter "callaway@execflyers.com" as the payee, and Executive Flyers will come up. If you have questions about the service or paying on line, please email Ed.
New Members Wanted
This year has been slower than usual in both student starts and rental of the aircraft. Consequently, our income is less than in other years while our costs have continued to increase. I'm asking for your help to increase our business. If you like the club, I'd appreciate it if you would tell as many prospective students or members as you can. Ask them to mention your name in the “referred to Executive Flyers by” section when they sign up for the club. We’ll put $60 on your account as thanks for helping us attract new business. With flight schools coming and going at Executive Airport over the years, we have been able to stay in business, thanks to a faithful membership, excellent instructors, reliable maintenance and Deena. This month will complete our 23rd year in business! I'd like to make it to 25, at least. Please help us accomplish that goal. Thanks.
