Happy Holidays to you all
All the instructors and staff at Executive Flyers hope that all of you have a safe and happy holiday season. The office will be closed on the afternoon of the 24th and all day on Christmas and on the afternoon of the 31st and all day on the 1st of January. If you should wish to fly during those times, you must make your reservations before the office closes on the 24th or the 31st. If you make an on line reservation after that time, there will be no one in the office to put the keys out for you.
Ice in the morning
With the colder, wetter weather, the chance of ice forming on the planes in the night time is increasing. Make sure that you DO NOT try to take off with ice or frost on the wings or tail of the planes. The ice or frost will disrupt the airflow over the wings and tail and may prevent you from lifting off and you could run off the end of the runway. You can use the white rags in the planes to wipe the frost from the wings and tail, or put some hot water on the rags to melt any ice. Better yet, fly later in the day when the sun has had a chance to melt the ice.
Gifts for pilots

N585AM C182 Fuel Rebate Extended
The owner of N585AM will be giving a fuel rebate of $200 for every 10 hours you fly in November or December in the Cessna 182. Once you have flown the time, get a rebate form at the office, fill it out and give it to Ed. He'll forward it to the owner who will write you a check for $200. The form must be completed within 30 days of finishing the 10 hours. This current offer is only good until the end of 2006. Save some money and fly the G1000 system at the same time. Contact the office or email Ed about the checkout procedure in the 182.
Cash flow
Our business depends on a cash flow. We are constantly paying for rent, maintenance, staff, etc. and need a steady inflow of cash to keep us going. Please check you statement when you receive it and if you owe dues or for a flight, please send it to us. If you receive you statement by email, the statement is a .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) attachment to the email. You need to click on the attachment to open it. Some mail programs will not allow attachments. If you are unable to see your statement, please email me and I will send you your statement by snail mail. Even if you can see the attachment, if you would prefer to receive a hard copy statement, please let us know. Many thanks for keeping us all flying.
