Insurance Requirements to fly Executive Flyers aircraft
Effective August 19, 2005
These are the licenses and ratings and hours required by
a pilot to fly Executive Flyers aircraft.
Fixed gear single engine aircraft except C182T
Student pilot's license or better and a checkout by
an Executive Flyers instructor in the aircraft.
C182T NAV III "Glass Panel"
Renter pilot will require a minimum checkout of one hour of
ground instruction and one hour of flight instruction if he/she
is at least a private pilot, instrument rated OR has 50 hours of
high performance aircraft PIC time in lieu of an instrument
rating, 200 hours total flight time and 25 hours in a Cessna 182T
with the G1000 glass panel. If the renter pilot meets the other
requirements, but does not have 25 hours in a Cessna 182T with
the G1000 glass panel, he/she must receive a minimum of five
hours of ground instruction and four hours of flight training in
the 182T by an Executive Flyers instructor who has been approved
by the chief instructor. Pilots with prior experience flying
"glass cockpits" in other aircraft should talk to the
chief instructor for required ground and flight training.
Retractable single engine aircraft
Private pilot's license or better; 125 hours total logged
pilot time and 25 hours logged retractable time and a checkout by
an Executive Flyers instructor in the aircraft. In lieu of the 25
hours of retractable time, 5 hours dual with an Executive Flyers
instructor in make and model and a checkout.
Piper Seminole - twin engine aircraft
Private pilot's license or better; multi-engine rating;
instrument rating; 250 hours total logged flight time and 50
logged hours multi-engine time and a checkout by an Executive
Flyers instructor in the Seminole. In lieu of the 50 hours
multi-engine time, 10 hours dual with an Executive Flyers
instructor in the Seminole and a checkout.
